The Upper Room Prayer Podcast Ep. 1
Welcome to The Upper Room Podcast, a ministry of TriFlames Church. This is our first dedicated prayer episode. Whether you’re new to this community or have been walking with us for some time, we’re so grateful you're here.
Today, we lift up real people with real needs—those who have reached out for prayer. Some have shared their names. Others prefer to remain anonymous. But every request matters. Every person matters. And every prayer is heard by a God who is faithful.
We invite you now to join your faith with ours. Let’s go before the Lord with open hearts.
Let’s begin by praying for Maria, a devoted mother facing a daily battle with chronic pain.
Lord God, we lift up Maria in Dallas, Texas. Her strength is stretched thin as she cares for her family while enduring constant pain. You are the Great Healer—reach into her body and restore what is broken. Bring relief, bring peace, and remind her that she is not forgotten. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Now we pray for Elijah, a young man facing uncertainty as he tries to discern his next step in life.
Father, we bring Elijah to You. As he stands at the threshold of adulthood, unsure of what comes next, we ask You to speak clearly. Calm his anxious thoughts. Let him know that Your plans for him are good, and that Your timing is perfect. Give him confidence and clarity as he listens for Your voice. In the name of Jesus, amen.
Next, we lift up a couple who asked for prayer but chose to remain anonymous. Their marriage is in crisis, and they need divine intervention.
God of reconciliation, You see this couple—every wound, every word, every moment of silence. We ask You to heal what’s been broken. Bring tenderness where there’s been tension. Let forgiveness flow freely. Restore trust and breathe new life into their union. What seems hopeless to them is never beyond You. Through Christ our Redeemer, amen.
We now pray for Samuel, a business owner in Kenya asking for God’s provision and breakthrough.
Jehovah Jireh, we lift up Samuel and the business he faithfully stewards. In a difficult economy, he’s doing all he can, but he needs Your favor. Open doors, provide clients, and bless the work of his hands. Show him that You are the source, and that You care for every detail. We ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.
Angela is reaching out for deliverance—from addiction, from fear, and from her past.
Lord, we stand in the gap for Angela. She’s weary, she’s broken, and she’s desperate for freedom. Jesus, You came to set the captives free. Tear down the strongholds. Remove guilt and shame. Surround her with people who will support her journey toward healing and victory. Let her story become one of transformation. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
Next, we pray for Helen, a recent widow navigating deep grief.
Compassionate God, we lift up Helen to You. After losing her husband of forty-two years, she feels lost and hollow. Wrap her in Your presence. Let Your Word be her anchor, Your Spirit her comfort. Remind her that even in this valley, she is never alone. Speak peace over her soul. In Christ’s comforting name, amen.
Jackson is a high school student quietly struggling with depression and isolation.
Lord, You know Jackson’s heart—the weight he carries, the darkness he hides. Shine Your light into his thoughts. Remind him that he has purpose. Place encouragers in his life. Break the silence of loneliness with connection, laughter, and healing. Let him feel Your love in undeniable ways. We pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
Priya recently began her journey of faith and is facing strong opposition from those closest to her.
Father, thank You for drawing Priya into Your family. Strengthen her foundation. Let her roots grow deep. Surround her with believers who will encourage her. Give her boldness and wisdom. And protect her heart from discouragement. Let her faith be a light in her home. In the powerful name of Jesus, amen.
Robert is preparing for a serious medical procedure and asking for strength.
Lord, Robert is facing fear and uncertainty. He’s holding onto hope, but it’s hard. Be his peace. Guide the surgeons’ hands. Be in the room, beside the machines, within the waiting hearts of his loved ones. Let his testimony be that You were with him every step of the way. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
This next request is from someone asking for prayer for a loved one who is far from God.
Lord, we don’t know the name, but You do. You know where they are, what they believe, and what keeps them from turning to You. Soften their heart. Stir their spirit. Use dreams, friends, and even silence to draw them back. Let them encounter Your grace in a way they cannot ignore. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus, amen.
Finally, we pray for the world—for every land, every people, every heart that needs Your touch.
God of all nations, we lift up the earth to You. In a time of division, disease, war, and fear—we declare that You are still King. Bring peace to the war-torn. Provision to the poor. Revival to the church. And awakening to those who don’t yet know You. Let Your Spirit move across every continent. May the fire of Your love burn brightly in hearts across the world. Let Your kingdom come, and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.
